REQUIREMENTS

  • Job Title : Project QA/QC Inspector
  • Reports To : Project QA/QC Coordinator
  • Overall Purpose of Role:
  • Perform Inspection activities at Sub contractor works in China for CLIENTS and Sea fastening flange Fabrication. At
  • the same time shall ensure product quality for the awarded scope is achieved as per applicable contract
  • requirements.
  • Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities:
  • ▪ Interpretation of Engineering drawings, Code, Standards and specifications for acceptance and rejection.
  • ▪ Liaising with and advising subcontractor team on matters related to Project Quality and error prevention.
  • ▪ Ensure frequent TBT sessions are being conducted amongst the subcontractor QC team.
  • ▪ Ensure timely / daily basis review of subcontractor’s inspection reports.
  • ▪ Carryout QC inspection as per project approved ITP’s.
  • ▪ Shall ensure available latest revision of approve document at subcontractor workplace.
  • ▪ Liaising with Client & Subcontractor for inspection activities and any issues related to Inspection and
  • Testing.
  • ▪ To ensure general discipline among Project QC staff. (Start-stop, HSES, OT, Housekeeping etc.)
  • ▪ Shall ensure all required HSE trainings by subcontractor HSE management are being obtained prior to
  • entering in working area. All HSE protocol shall be strictly adhered.
  • ▪ Participate and support in various Quality Improvement activities initiated by the PQM/ Project QA/QC
  • Coordinator.
  • ▪ Ensure all inspection activities are effectively carried out and documented (ITR’s, check list, punch list etc.)
  • and documented by subcontractor.
  • ▪ Ensure that project dossier including Inspection and NDT reports on the assigned projects are reviewed and
  • approved on timely manner.
  • ▪ Raise / assist in raising and resolving NCR’s with Subcontractor/Client once identified.
  • ▪ Shall be able to conduct project specific audits (Construction/Procurement), ensure implementation of
  • Project audit plan by Sub contractor.
  • ▪ Attend safety walkthrough whenever asked to do so.
  • ▪ Shall report back to COMPANY Project QA/QC Coordinator on day to day inspection activities including any
  • issues/NCR’s.
  • Key Performance Indicator:
  • ▪ Ensure compliance to Project site HSES Policies, Plans & Procedures as applicable.
  • ▪ Ensure compliance to Site Information Security policies and procedures as applicable.
  • ▪ Implementation of approved ITP’s Plan’s & Procedures in the projects.
  • ▪ Assist COMPANY Project QAQC Manager/ Coordinator in day to day activities and reporting.
  • ▪ Support in achieving set key performance indicators (KPI) of Sub contractors.
  • ▪ Evaluation, interpretation & approval of NDT personnel at site as required.
  • ▪ Ensure NCR registers are maintained & closed out in a timely manner.
  • ▪ Comply with COMPANY work instructions if any (Do’s & Don’ts).
  • ▪ Ensure subcontractors are timely sharing the weekly updates on KPI’s and Weld repairs.
  • Role Specific Competencies:
  • Graduate/Diploma with Engineering or Technical qualification.
  • ➢ Minimum 6 – 8 Years in the Fabrication Industry (Oil and Gas) with specific work experience of 1-2 years in
  • Renewable wind firm projects with Fabrication standard as DNVOS C401. Preference for those having worked
  • with North Sea renewable projects involving Ramboll Design Specifications & DNV standards.
  • ➢ Through knowledge and in hand experience of NDT methods (UT and MT) along with Min level II ISO 9712
  • certifications.
  • ➢ Shall have adequate experience in Dimensional Inspection using Total stations, and Easy Lasers of similar
  • projects.
  • ➢ Shall have Valid professional qualification (CSWIP3.1 or AWS).
  • ➢ Shall have Experience in auditing and possess ISO 9001 lead Auditor certificate.
  • ➢ Communicate (written & oral) in the English language with confidence.
  • ➢ Excellent listening skills, assertive and ability to coach subordinates.
  • ➢ Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions.
  • ➢ Should have adequate experience in structural material (EN 10025-2, 4 and EN 10225).
  • ➢ Excellent knowledge of Quality Management System
